I CONSIDER MYSELF A BOTANICAL ARTIST!!!

My mother says I have been planning parties and telling people how to decorate for their’s, since I was 3. Cleary this is in my blood.

I grew up in an agricultural household...a vineyard, a plant nursery, a Ranch...my uncle also had a horse and goat ranch.

My parents, growing up were always very social. My mother always had beautiful gardens...I would take materials from these to create displays for our family parties...as I got older their friends started asking me to create pieces for their parties. And so it began…

I went away to college thinking I would either be a dental hygienist or a nurse. Life had other plans for me.

One of my biology professors noticed my love of plants and the outdoors and asked if I had ever considered a degree in horticulture...Until then I had not. the local JC had an amazing horticulture program and I decided to try some classes...My first night of class I was hooked! I ended up changing majors and schools and headed to California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo.  While at Cal Poly I managed the Cal Poly Plant Shop - a full service florist and nursery.  I also trained with one of the Central Coasts premier floral designers.  Upon earning my degree in Environmental Horticultural Sciences I came home, to Napa, to start my own full service floral decor company.  I consider myself a botanical artist with flowers as my medium. I love to incorporate all the natural elements of plants and cut flowers into my designs.  I have been creating stunning floral pieces out of my barn in Napa for over 18 years...producing over 3000 events. I like to give back and have designed for such charitable events as “Hands Across the Valley”, for which I was the decor chair for 10 years.  Working out of my barn helps keep my overhead costs down which I pass along to my clients.  I also teach floral design privately and in our local Community as well as host annual holiday wreath making parties.

The love I have for plants, flower and design is an innate part of who I am as a person. Creating lifelong memories for someone, keeps my passion alive and allows me to create unique pieces for every occasion. Whether you’re planning a huge wedding or you just want to send flowers to your mom, to tell her how much she has influenced your life…I want to be your designer.
